Philippines Bearcats Elite Basketball Academy. How it all started! The DREAM!

Five Years ago, God came to me in a dream and told me to go to the Philippines and do the same thing there with Basketball that we did here in San Diego with the California Bearcats. We sold everything and in February 2021 we embarked on this journey of Faith. Covid 19 was in full force when we got here, the basketball courts were closed, the rims taken off, gates locked, and we were very discouraged at first and wondered why we are here. Then in October of 2021 a city in Mindanao took a chance and let us start practicing and forming teams. Then the momentum started to build, we started traveling all over the Philippines. Cebu, Leyte, Davao Del Norte, Davao Oriental, Tagum, New Corella, Tibungco, Davao City and the list goes on. We sponsored tournaments, we formed teams and played in Leagues, we worked with Mayors, Barangay Captains, Councilors, Governors, Churches and Businesspeople. We were asked to visit the sisters of Mary Boys town and Girlstown in Cebu and had a chance to share the love of Jesus with 3,600 girls and 2,400 boys in one day! And execute clinics with 800-1,000 young men and women at both facilities. We went to so many places where no one has ever come there to execute clinics in those cities ever! And we went to so many places where no foreign coach has ever been. Over the last 5 1/2 months we had the opportunity to share the Love to Jesus to more than 10,000 young basketballs players. God busted the doors wide open the last 6 months and we cannot thank him enough for the tremendous support God has given us. We have given away so many Basketballs, Uniforms, T-shirts, Nets, Whistles and Food. We were able to bring more then 500 pairs of basketball shoes to the Philippines as well, 60% of the young people either play in Sandals or Bare feet. The basketball shoe drives we did are so important. Very few Basketball players in the Philippines have their own basketball, so bringing basketballs to the Philippines is a key piece to spreading our ministry and impacting more young Filipinos. We are back now in the USA for a few months letting people know the awesome opportunity that is in the Philippines. Join Us, Pray, Give. We need your prayers and financial support.
